Year 1 November announcements

Friday 27th November

Happy Friday!

This week the children have been busy in school learning about the story of Creation and creating our non-fiction booklets about penguins.

Each Thursday, we will be having dance practice with Miss Burns so we are ready for the Nativity filming on the 10th December. The children are doing so well and working hard to learn their routines 🙂

Please check the class gallery for up to date photographs of how busy we have been. I have also added photos of the children’s wonderful Harry settings and their Special person video will be coming soon!

Please check Seesaw for homework.

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Coupe

Friday 13th November and Friday 20th November 2020

Hi all!

We have had a busy busy two weeks in Year One and we are now on the Christmas countdown! The gallery has been updated with some pictures from the last two weeks.

The children have continued to work really well and we have celebrated Remembrance day and Children in Need 2020 in that time. This week the children have launched into Winter and we have continued to learn about non-fiction ready to finish our penguin booklets next week.

Homework is available on Seesaw as usual, thank you for your support with this. It was lovely to speak to you all over Zoom for our parents meetings for this term.

This week we have been thinking about our special people and the children have recorded some messages about who their special people are which will be uploaded very soon! I will send a Seesaw notification when they are available to see.

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Coupe

Friday 6th November 2020

We have had a super week settling back into school and the children have been busy learning all about Guy Fawkes and Bonfire night. The shoebox settings which have been sent in are absolutely wonderful and we are in the process of adding our short stories to them – thank you so much for your support with this!

All of the parents evening meetings should now have been received and I look forward to having a short chat about the children’s progress this half term. Homework will commence as normal next week.

Keep safe,

Mrs Coupe
