• We looked at different media such as, a video clip, cartoons, a website and books. They raised issues about the rain forest.

  • In our teams, we thought of all the things we could use to measure. For example, a metre stick, ruler or tape measure.
  • We presented out ideas to the class.
  • We measured objects in the classroom and outside the classroom. We used rulers, metre sticks, tape measures and trundle wheels. We recorded in CM and M.

  • We had a school talent show called, 'Grimsargh's Got Talent'. Our very own Jackson won with his fantastic Gymnastic routine.

  • Paul Huntington and Brad Potts, who are Preston North End players, came to talk to Year 5 and Year 6.
  • They told us what it takes to be an athlete.
  • We asked questions and they told us about diet, fitness and training.
  • We all really enjoyed the visit and got a signed photograph of the players to remember the occasion.
