How does the PTFA operate?

We deliver a series of fundraising activities throughout the year to help raise money for the school. These take the form of either long term fundraising initiatives or one-off events.

To help plan for these fun events and activities, we hold a meeting each half-term either face-to-face or via Zoom, which lasts around an hour.

At the meeting, the PTFA reviews current finances and committee roles, discuss events and fundraising ideas, as well as medium to long-term initiatives that we can support the school with.

We agree forthcoming events, as well as discussing and agreeing specific funding requests from the school.

Minutes are taken and distributed to committee members and school leadership, as well as being posted on the PTFA webpages for information.

Parents are most welcome to come to our meetings, either to listen to what we are up to, or to play a more active role if they want.

For day-to-day communication, the PTFA uses as WhatsApp group which new members can be added to.

Meetings are advertised in the school newsletter and all parents / carers are welcome to attend.
