Friday 11th December 

Merry Christmas!

Year One have had another busy week and this week was extra special as we filmed our Christmas Nativity. The children worked so hard with Miss Burns to learn their dances and with the help of the costume and casting department – Mrs Coupe, Mrs Costas-Walker and Mrs Lovatt! – they looked amazing! Miss Sweeney and Mrs Hemmings in Year Two have worked hard with their class to prepare the speaking parts and acting and I am sure the finished product will be lovely  Have a look over on the class gallery for some behind the scenes images. 

In RE, the children have been thinking about giving a gift which isn’t an object. I asked the children to choose a gift from the Christian Aid website which I could buy as a gift to the class instead of buying small objects for them this year. They chose the gift of sending a child to school and the children were really excited that we had given a child in Kenya this opportunity  

Next week we have Christmas dinner on Wednesday 16th and our Christmas Party on Thursday 17th and we are hoping a special visitor will be arriving in school for our party day! Please remember that the children will be finishing on Friday 18th at 1pm. 

I will add some festive photographs to the class gallery next week and a small festive homework to Seesaw for over the Christmas break.
