Autumn Worship

Throughout the school year, our children explore, experience and learn about the importance of the Christian Festivals.

Here are some images capturing moments of worship in our school:

St Michael’s Day

Pupils from across the school led a joyful St Michael’s Day service at church, working with Reverend Andy to warmly welcome families and our community. Rooted in our vision of inspiring, achieving and believing in a loving Christian community, the worship helped us reflect on God’s guidance and care.

Through readings, prayers and reflections, pupils explored the story of Jacob and the role of angels, reminding us of God’s promise: “I am with you and will protect you everywhere you go” (Genesis 28:15). This linked to our vision, inspired by “Let your light shine before others” (Matthew 5:16).

Children took part with confidence and respect, creating a calm and uplifting service. We are proud of how they led worship, celebrating our Christian values and encouraging us all to shine our light in the world.

Harvest

Pupils from across the school led a joyful and welcoming Harvest service at church, bringing together families and our wider community in a meaningful act of collective worship. The service began with offerings of gifts, reflecting generosity and care for others, and reminding us that “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it” (Psalm 24:1).

Year 6 confidently shared readings from Psalm 65 and Luke 12, while Year 3 offered thoughtful reflections. Worship was enriched through music, poetry, prayer and creative art, with contributions from Reception to Year 5, enabling all to take part and reflect.

We are especially grateful for the generosity of our families. Donations were shared with Preston Food Bank, friends in our parish, and Fox Street Shelter for the homeless, demonstrating our commitment to supporting those in need.

We are proud of how our pupils led with confidence and reverence, making this a special celebration of thankfulness, community and service.

Remembrance Day

Each class created a wreath. After a minute’s silence to remember the brave service men and women who bravely fought for peace, we displayed them in our Rest and Reflect Area and enjoyed worship together.

Class worship in Year 6

Bible Fun Club took time to rest, reflect and remember all those who served or serve in the armed forces.

We will remember them!
